Financial Aid Program

Introduction

The program is to offer support to students with strong potential for academic success to pursue post-secondary higher education that would not be possible otherwise. Financial Assistance aims to partially relieve the financial burden on students for whom tuition fees are onerous. Allowances are based on validated financial need and are used to be discounted directly from the tuition fees.

 

Notes and Remarks

  1. You need to create a new account in order to log in and access the online financial aid application.
  2. It is recommended to fill this application by using your laptop, desktop or iPad.
  3. Be careful to the required fields. You can't save page if some required fields are not filled.
  4. It is recommended to use Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari as an internet explorers.
  5. This application should be completed carefully and submitted, with relevant documents attached within the set deadline.
  6. Financial Aid Applications are valid for one academic year only, excluding summer semester.
  7. A new application is required for every new academic year.
  8. Any misrepresentation, inconsistency or withholding of information may lead to a denial of all Financial Aid. In such cases, the university reserves the right to take all the legally possible routes to insure the return of Financial Aid money paid without the need to obtain judgment authorizing university to do so.
  9. The interview with the parents might be required before the student is granted Financial Aid for the first time. Further interviews or home visits may be required if needed.
 

Instructions

The Financial Aid Application should be completed carefully and agreed by you and your parents/guardians. Kindly note that upon submission, a short interview may be conducted with you.

All relevant fields should be completed, else denote as NA. The online Financial Aid Application shall not be processed if any relevant document is not attached or uploaded.

 

Required Documents

  • Recent photograph of the applicant
  • Family Civil Status Record (issued within the previous 6 months).
  • If provider(s) is(are) employed: 
    1. Recent employment certificate(s) for the job(s) clearly stating occupation/job title, years of service & all benefits granted. OR
    2. Form A: Employee Income Statement (either in Arabic or English) should be duly filled, signed and stamped by the employer, or an Income Statement indicating annual gross income and specifying all additional benefits(ex: Educational, Transportation, Accommodation … )
  • If the providers(s) is(are) self-employed:
    1. Form B: Self-employed Income Statement (either in Arabic or English) should be duly filled, signed and stamped by the concerned family member.
    2. Official business registration and shareholders’ documents should be provided (if applicable).
    3. Official balance sheet/Income tax document (if applicable).
  • Recent Rent Contract of rented out property or ownership title documents for owned property. 
  • Certificate of unemployment (NSSF document) for every unemployed or self-employed provider. 
  • Recent school statement or receipts of annual fees for each dependent child enrolled at school and/or university (excluding applicant)
  • Photocopy of car(s) registration form (family and personal). 
  • Photocopy of loan agreement(s), if any, with all supporting documents. 
  • Any additional document that would support the Financial Aid application.
